I am deeply saddened to hear the news of serial bomb blasts rocking the walled city of Jaipur, on the evening of May 13, 2008. I pray for the well being of all those affected by the insane act of terrorism. It is hoped that the people of Jaipur will display resilience and recover swiftly from the tragedy. This photoblog stands as a tribute to the innocent who lost their lives on this day, and to the Jaipur Walled City, which will continue to be one of the most incredible places in the world.

Posting Closed :-(
Owing to some commitments, currently I am unable to devote time to this blog. Posting, therefore, is temporarily closed. This blog, however, showcases about 100 photographs taken over the past two years, you may wish to go through them by exploring the archives. Thank you!
A Big Thanks!
To everyone who visited this blog, left kind comments, contacted me on e-mail, voted for this blog at Photoblog Awards and came to see the exhibition, a BIG THANKS! It wouldn't have been possible without your support. And last but not the least, a big thanks to Google and Blogger for this awesome blogging facility!
Out of the Ordinary - The Exhibition
Out of the Ordinary, an exhibition of some of the best photographs from this phoblog was organised at Sukriti Art Gallery, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur, from March 16-20, 2008. 21 black and white photographs, printed on Epson archival paper, were displayed at the show, which was very well received. Ordinary Photographs got decent press coverage as well :-) You can download the exhibition brochure (PDF, 700k) from HERE. And here are some photographs from the exhibition:

During one of my evening walks at Central Park, I encountered a mixed group of resident Indian Mynas and migratory Rosy and Common Starlings near the Rambagh Polo Ground. It was a delight to see them fly in groups to feed on the polo ground and prepare, with constant chatter, to roost for the night on a nearby leafless tree.
